Sales of New Sock Style to Benefit U.S. Military and Fund Educational Scholarships to Families of Fallen and Severely Disabled Service Members

Greensboro, NC (November 23, 2020) – On a mission to provide every active-duty service member of the U.S. military with free, premium-quality socks made right here in America, Soledier Socks introduced a new sock style to its “Stand for a Cause” line. Available now for purchase, the aptly named “Stephan” sock was designed by a 13-year-old aspiring artist from Kentucky – the daughter of Staff Sergeant Brandon Stephan, a CBRN specialist with the U.S. Army.

For each pair of socks purchased, Soledier Socks sends a complimentary pair of the “Thomas” socks to an active member of the military. What’s more, $1 is donated with every purchase to Folds of Honor, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing educational scholarships to spouses and children of fallen and severely disabled service members.

The concept of Soledier Socks began in 2010. After the founder’s close friend was deployed to Afghanistan, and throughout his deployment, she sent him care packages – each one stuffed with socks! Upon his safe return home, the socks were all he talked about; and a lightbulb went off! “It makes sense that socks are one of the most requested items in military care packages,” said Elle Reuger, founder of Soledier Socks. “Without proper foot care, it’s easy to develop blisters. When you’re constantly on your feet carrying 50-plus pounds of equipment, that can potentially lead to further complications.”

Last year alone, Soledier Socks donated more than 7,500 pairs of socks and over $5,000 to various non-profits that benefit service members and their families. To learn more, please visit: www.solediersocks.com.
